York To San Francisco In 1849: Reuben Lucius Goldberg was born in San Francisco on July 4, 1883. After graduating from the University of California, in 1904, he drew sports cartoons for San Francisco newspapers until 1907 and for the New York to San Francisco in 1849 Evening Mail from 1907 to 1921. He started syndication work in 1915, developing such features as "Boob Mc-Nutt," "Foolish Questions," and "Crazy Inventions." From 1938 he did editorial cartoons for the New York to San Francisco in 1849 Sun and then for the New York to San Francisco in 1849 Journal American.
