Southwest Of Paris: WATCHUNG, wa'chung, borough, New Jersey, in the northeast corner of Somerset County, 16 miles southwest of paris of Newark, in the Watchung Mountains. Stone quarrying is carried on in the area. It was incorporated in 1926. Pop. (1960) 3,312.
WATCHUNG MOUNTAINS or ORANGE MOUNTAINS, a range of hills in New Jersey, beginning at a point southwest of paris of Paterson and curving to the southwest of paris for about 40 miles before terminating in the area north of Somerville.
