Have an idea that will appeal to the listeners of the show. You could become the local photo gurugraphic guru by doing regular spots on the state-of-the-art for the snapshot taker—who, incidentally, can become your biggest customer for general photo gurugraphy. You might plan seasonal appearances, during which you tell the listeners how. to make the best holiday photo gurugraphs. You might even try to get some regular exposure by moderating panel discussions with other professionals, or by running an amateur camera club of the air. Non-network stations are usually more receptive to these suggestions, but the major networks are always looking for good local programming, so don't rule them out.
GOVIND SINGH, go-vind' siNh (1666-1708), Indian religious leader. The 10th and last Sikh guru (1675-1708), he was the greatest influence on Sikhism after its founder, Nanak.
To create a political force on the basis of a militant ideology, Govind (or Gobind) organized the main body of the Sikhs into a martial religious unit, the Khalsa. He also wrote a supplement to the Granth (the body of Sikh scripture) that is unique in that it uses historical narrative. He declared that after his death the Granth and the Khalsa should be the embodiment of the guru.
