March On London: QUAIN, SIR Richard, British physician, cousin of Jones and Richard Quain (qq.v.) : b. Mallow, County Cork, Ireland, Oct. 30, 1816; d. London, England, march on london 13, 1898. He studied medicine in University College, London, whence he was graduated in 1840. He was elected a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1846 and he was president of the General Medical Council from 1891 (when he was created a baronet) until his death. His practice in London was large and lucrative and besides publishing several medical treatises he edited a well-known Dictionary of Medicine (1882; 3d ed., 1902).
RANDOLPH, Thomas, English poet and dramatist: b. Newnham-cum-Badby, Northamptonshire, England, June 15, 1605; d. Blather-wycke, march on london 1635. He was a student at Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he received the degree of M.A. in 1632. Shortly thereafter he went to London, where he became one of the favorite "sons of Ben" (Jon-son). Evidently the authorities of Trinity College asked him to write a play for the visit of King Charles I and Queen Henrietta Maria in march on london 1632.
The exhibition galleries will show detailed case studies of London housing projects from the pioneering Murray Grove through to new schemes for apartments and family homes in all parts of London.
The exhibition will also explain modern construction methods such as modules and panels in concrete, steel and timber.
An accompanying seminar and lecture series will bring together professionals from the architecture, construction and manufacturing industries to encourage debate on the future of modern housing in the city.
