Fine Art Ional: WNSAULUS, gun-so'hs, Frank Wakeley (1856-", American clergyman, who was especially as a preacher. Gunsaulus was bom in .•rville, Ohio, on Jan. 1, 1856. After re-j his B. A. from Ohio Wesleyan University 1875, he was ordained a Methodist minister, a circuit and then several churches in the istrict. From 1870 he ministered to Con-ional and Presbyterian churches in various of the United States until he went to to become pastor of the Plymouth Con-ional Church (1887-1899) and the inde-it Central Church (1899-1919).
He draws his inspiration perhaps from a rather pedestrian rule of thumb, perhaps from educa:ional "refreshment," which may be provided by :he department of education and science, a local mthority or university institute of education, his :eachers' union, or Her Majesty's inspector. But le cannot be directed to attend refresher courses, lor is attendance at them linked to increments n salary.
