Festival Picture: Spectacular Line-up of International Designers in International Garden Festival
The International Garden Festival announced the designers who have been invited to create gardens for the seventh edition of the Festival, which will take place from June 24 to October 1, 2006.
Over 95 submissions from 14 countries were received, constituting the highest number since the inauguration of the Festival in 2000.
The following landscape architects and architects will be participating in the 2006 Festival:
1. Music and Drama Festivals Bergen's International Festival of Music, Drama and Folklore, filling the first fortnight in June, has been mentioned as a recent development (since 1953) that has brought this small city to a big place in Europe's festival picture. I need only re-emphasize its glamor and importance. If Grieg and Holberg are its chief sparks there are many other sparks to add to its brilliance. Top virtuosi and conductors from many lands are engaged each year.
The Bath Assembly is an annual June festival of the Arts.
The Dolmetsch Festival of Early English Music is held in June in Haslemere, Surrey.
The Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, held in June, was organized and inspired by Benjamin Britten.
