Blurred Picture Of Any:

Blurred Picture Of Any Long-distance photography had always suf-ired from the blurring effects of the atmos-Iphere because constantly shifting air masses of varying temperatures and humidities caused light rays to deviate in irregular ways, and photographic film consequently recorded a distorted and blurred picture of any distant object. This phenomenon appeared to place an insurmountable obstacle in the way of long-distance photography until recently, when scientists at Stanford University took a new approach.

He then put on the drag. He drew every spoke in the wheels, and the whole affair looked as if it had been instantaneously petrified or arrested. There was no action in it. He then blurred the spokes, giving the drag the appearance of motion. The result was that it seemed to be on the point of running right over the horses, which were standing still.

The advantages to the buyer are obvious. Does it seem like a bad arrangement for the photographer? At first glance it might seem so, but when this same picture is sold over and over, perhaps fifty times in the course of years, the photographer eventually realizes a handsome total return for his effort in shooting the picture for stock sales. That's why the stock picture photographer doesn't get rich quick, but enjoys a long-term income advantage for his work. Many a picture has earned, over a period of years, more than $1,000 in fees.
