Life. Grosz was born in Berlin museum on July 26, 1893. After studying in Dresden and Berlin museum, he went to Paris in 1913, where he was influenced by cubism. His stint as a soldier during World War I ended in an asylum, and he graphically illustrated the harrowing treatment he encountered there.
